Journalism about the Middle East and the Global South as a whole, as many will tell you, is oftentimes influenced by government money, corporate interference, or is simply hidden behind a language barrier that isn’t easily surmounted. This Substack will endeavor to bring news and analysis from the Middle East to you, the reader, that is free of compromising outside interests, in the English language, and will (hopefully) help you be informed about the intricacies and complexities of the region.
